What We Do

Training and Consulting Services Built for High-Stakes Environments

BECS partners with educational institutions, government agencies, healthcare organizations, and defense-sector employers to design training that meets federal standards, earns recognized credit, and produces measurable results.

Instructional Design and Curriculum Development

Learning that sticks — built to standard.

BECS designs learning experiences that translate complex requirements into clear, actionable training. As an ATD Master Instructional Designer, every program we build reflects current best practices in adult learning theory, performance-based objectives, and measurable outcomes.

As an IACET Accredited Provider, BECS designs programs that meet the ANSI/IACET 1-2018 Standard for Continuing Education and Training — the benchmark recognized by employers, licensing boards, and professional associations nationwide (IACET, 2018). Your participants earn recognized continuing education units (CEUs); your organization earns the credibility that comes with accredited programming.

Our instructional design practice uses the ADDIE and SAM models alongside a Systems Approach to Training. Deliverables include eLearning modules authored in Articulate 360 and Adobe Captivate (SCORM-compliant), instructor-led and blended programs, Training Support Packages, job aids, performance support tools, competency maps, rubrics, and Prior Learning Assessment instruments. All content is developed for LMS administration and Section 508 / WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility.

Compliance and Regulatory Training

Confident compliance — documented and audit-ready.

Regulatory requirements change. Your workforce needs training that keeps pace and leaves a clear documentation trail. BECS develops compliance programs that give your team the knowledge they need to perform their roles correctly — and gives your organization the records it needs when auditors ask.

We work with government agencies, healthcare organizations, and defense-sector employers where compliance is not optional and the cost of a gap is high. Every program we design is built around your specific regulatory environment, not a generic template.

Regulatory domains served include harassment prevention and equal opportunity (EEO), HR compliance, performance management, HIPAA, federal acquisition regulations, cybersecurity awareness, and occupational safety. All programs include documentation and audit trail design aligned to your reporting requirements.

Leadership and Professional Development

Leaders who produce results — not just certificates.

Strong organizations are built on strong leaders. BECS draws on over 30 years of experience in academic program development and strategic initiatives to design leadership programs that produce measurable outcomes — not just seat time.

Our leadership programs are grounded in continuous assessment and data-driven design. We build in evaluation checkpoints so you can see what is working, adjust what is not, and demonstrate return on your training investment.

Program formats include cohort leadership series, executive consultation, supervisory skills development, coaching and talent development, change management, and succession planning support. Dr. Borel is a Maxwell Leadership Certified Speaker, Coach, and Trainer, and a certified practitioner of Everything DiSC, Five Behaviors, MBTI Step I–II, Strong Interest Inventory, and the CCL 360. ACE-validated credit options are available.

Continuing Education Unit (CEU) Program Design

Accredited CEUs your participants can count on.

As an IACET Accredited Provider, BECS designs and delivers CEU programs that meet the ANSI/IACET 1-2018 Standard — the nationally and internationally recognized standard for quality continuing education and training (IACET, 2018). Participants earn CEUs they can use toward professional licensure, certification maintenance, and career advancement.

For organizations that need to offer accredited professional development — whether to meet a contractual requirement, support a workforce certification program, or add value to a training catalog — BECS provides the accreditation infrastructure and instructional design expertise to make it happen.

BECS is also a SHRM Recertification Provider, HRCI Recertification Provider, and ATD CI Pre-Approved Provider. CEU programs are delivered virtually in self-paced or cohort formats, all Section 508 / WCAG 2.1 AA compliant. Our flagship Registered Apprenticeship program (BECS-RA00) awards 14.4 IACET CEUs recognized by SHRM, HRCI, and ATD.

Workforce Development Strategy

Strategy grounded in data — aligned to mission.

BECS partners with educational institutions, government agencies, healthcare organizations, and defense-sector employers to build workforce strategies that address real gaps and align to organizational mission. We bring over 30 years of experience in academic program development, recruitment strategy, and continuous assessment to every engagement.

Our approach is collaborative. We work alongside your leadership and HR teams to understand your workforce challenges, analyze your data, and design a strategy that your organization can actually execute — with the training programs to back it up.

Deliverables include needs assessments, gap analyses, competency mapping, training plans, workforce development roadmaps, talent management and onboarding frameworks, performance management systems, and employer partnership development (ACE-validated). BECS also offers Registered Apprenticeship program sponsorship through the Alabama Office of Apprenticeship.
